Alex Ferguson

Masculinities Facilitator and Psychotherapist

Biography

As a psychotherapist, relationship therapist and group facilitator, Alex works across paradigms to bridge the personal and the political. His group work focuses on engaging men and boys in conversations about gender inequality and masculinity, using a perspective grounded primarily in intersectional feminism and the philosophy of non-violence. His vision is of a world where each person is recognised for their inherent value and sees dismantling systems of oppression as central to that vision.

Alex grew up in Barbados and, before coming to London, spent time in Canada, Hong Kong and Japan, studying Anthropology and Philosophy and working in journalism and education.
